You may have heard of this scam before, but just in case here we go.It all started on EBay with me actually selling an i pod touch, the auction attracted quite a few bidders, the auction ended at 1 30pm on a Sunday about 5 minutes after the auction ending i got a question from an individual through the EBay contact seller function. It read Hi would you be interested in buying goods similar to what you have just sold at a fraction of the cost if so
Please visit our Web Site for further details. www.globeshopping999.com On viewing the site for the first time everything looked fine until i saw the prices Of the items, you know what they say if it looks too good to be true it probably is. What alerted me also was the fact all the contact email addresses are either Hotmail or Yahoo. I decided to test them out so i contacted the site via email the next giveaway,I decided to test them out so i contacted the site via email the next giveaway for fraud was the fact they were actively discouraging the use of PayPal saying the delivery time was increased due to the process of collecting payments through PayPal. Also they would charge 50€ more they also offered a bank transfer with account details or Telegraphic transfer or money gram. Again with full account details.
It all seemed very strange practice to me, when i approached them with a request
to buy some items, I asked if the products were genuine they provided pictures to prove this, but when i asked for a sample product they refused totally & said because they were a wholesaler they could only accept a minimum order of 3
Items, and offered to take payment by email there and then providing the bank details to transfer the money too once again, I have had them dangling like this For a couple of weeks asking them for more proof etc that never appeared,
Finally i asked them to produce a PayPal invoice for the items i wanted & from then everything has stopped no more emails or anything.
So please be very careful you could loose substantial amounts of money very easily. The website is still fully functional so if anyone knows who to contact to have this Site removed please contact Fraud Stoppers Blog.
